Iraqi political figures welcome UK court ruling in favor of the PMOI

NCRI - Dr. Saleh Motlak, leader of the Iraqi National Dialogue Front, congratulated the residents of Ashraf City and members of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) for British court ruling against the unjust terror label on the organization.

On November 30, the Proscribed Organizations Appeals Commission (POAC) denounced terrorist listing of the PMOI by the British government as "perverse" and called on the Home Secretary to remove the unlawful label immediately.

Dr. Motlak described the verdict as a solid proof that the legitimate resistance of the PMOI and a victory for Iraqi nationalist and democratic forces as well. He added that the Mojahedin have millions of Iraqis behind them who would testify to their sincerity and dedication. "May God make this a prelude to greater victories for Iranian people in achieving their final goal," Motlak emphasized.

The leader of the Iraqi Council for National Dialogue, Sheikh Khalaf al-Alyan, also sent a message of greetings to the Mojahedin of Iran based in Ashraf City. "I would like to congratulate this victory to you as well as ourselves because the victory against injustice and cruelty is a victory for your brothers in Iraq too."

He added, "The closer you get to your goals, the lesser would be the pains and sufferings of Iraqi people. We are pleased that we have been with you throughout these years and therefore we share the benefits of you’re achievements." He ended his message by wishing greater triumphs for the PMOI.
