Iraqi Politician: Iranian IRGC members have infiltrated Iraq's security apparatus

Friday, 14 December 2007

NCRI - Sheikh Khalaf al-Alyan, the leader of Iraqi Council for National Dialogue, warned that a great number of members of the Qods force and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have infiltrated Iraqi’s security organs.

In an interview with Al-Rafedin TV on Tuesday, Sheikh Khalaf al-Alyan continued: The security apparatus is filled with militias…we have documents proving it. In recent days, Maleki himself signed an accord letting 17,000 members of the Badr organization to join. Undoubtedly, there are numerous members of Iran’s Quds force and IRGC among them.

He reiterated that especially after IRGC designation as a terrorist organization, these forces have tried to infiltrate Iraqi forces.

Khalaf al-Alyan continued: We demand getting rid of Iranian regime’s proxies in the security apparatus. These forces must only pledge allegiance to Iraq, otherwise the whole process will fail.
