500 tribal sheikhs call for closure of the Iran regime's embassy in Iraq

NCRI – More than 500 tribal sheikhs called for the shutdown of the Iranian regime's embassy and consulates in Iraq. The move by tribal leaders nationwide also demanded a total expulsion of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps-Qods Force (IRGC-QF) elements from their country as necessary steps toward putting an end to the mullahs' meddling in Iraq.
The Iraqi tribal leaders emphasize on the need to maintain the main Iranian Opposition group, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in Iraq as a strategic balancing force.
In the gathering formation of "Congress of Iraqi Tribal Alliance for Support of Nationalist Alternative" was announced. Support for a national reconciliation government through early national elections under United Nations control and transfer of security to local tribal leaders are among the goals of the alliance.
"We want to form a national salvation government and the elections to be held under the UN auspices", Sheikh Mutlaq Hamada al-Jabouri from al-Jabour tribe said at the gathering.
Yaaqub al-Qaissi, spokesman of the Iraqi People’s Congress, headed by Dr. Adnan Dulaimi, said: "We wish for a genuine national reconciliation and elimination of autocratic rule and suppression in Iraq. We call for establishment of a non-sectarian and strong army void of militias belonging to Iran. ."
Dr. Abdullah al-Jabouri, chairman of the National Front for Salvation of Diyala, Sheikh Kamil Latif Ghazi, from Wassit province, Sheikh Abdulhalim Abdulkarim from Salahuddin, Sheikh Muhammad Mahdi Khudhair from Muthanna, where among many Iraqi leaders who spoke at the event.
