Iran: 1000 Iraqi sheikhs ask US Secretary of Defense for the eviction of mullahs from Iraq

NCRI – 1000 Iraqi tribal sheikhs in a letter to Robert Gates, US Secretary of Defense, asked for eviction of the clerical regime ruling Iran from Iraq. They underscored the role of the main Iran’s opposition, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK) in revealing the regime’s interference in the Iraqi internal affairs.

“The tribal leaders acted as the bulwark to the meddling and spread of terrorism and sectarian violence by the Iranian regime, while [Iraqi] governmental institutions were highly infiltrated by the Iranian regime, in particular, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Qods Force (IRGC-QF),” the letter of Iraqi tribal sheikhs said.

“The US government should stand on the side of the Iraqi people for establishing peace and democracy and avoid those who represent the interests of the Iranian regime,” the letter added.

They referred to the frauds in last election in Iraq and called for a new parliamentary election.
